Why We Made the Switch

For many years, accountants and their clients relied on email to exchange sensitive financial documents — tax returns, payroll records, financial statements, identity documents and more. The problem is that standard email is inherently unsecured. Files sent over email can be intercepted, misdirected, or fall victim to phishing attacks.

With cyber threats targeting accounting firms and their clients at an increasing rate, we made the decision to invest in a dedicated client portal that provides a genuinely secure alternative to email for sensitive document exchange.

What Our Client Portal Offers

Our new client portal is built on industry-leading security infrastructure and provides:

• End-to-end encryption for all documents uploaded and shared
• Two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect your account from unauthorised access
• Secure document signing — sign tax returns and engagement letters digitally without printing anything
• Centralised document storage — access your current and prior year documents anytime, from any device
• Direct messaging — communicate with our team securely without relying on email
• Task tracking — see the status of your tax return or other work in progress

How to Access the Portal

Existing clients have been sent an invitation email with a link to set up their portal account. If you haven't received your invitation or are having trouble accessing your account, please contact us and we'll resend it promptly.

New clients are automatically set up with a portal account as part of the onboarding process, so you'll have secure access from day one.

What This Means for How We Work Together

Going forward, we will use the portal as the primary channel for:

• Requesting information and documents from you at tax time
• Delivering completed tax returns and financial statements for your review and signature
• Sharing engagement letters, invoices and correspondence
• Collecting identity verification documents required under our AML/CTF obligations

While we will still use email for general communication and scheduling, sensitive documents and financial information will be handled exclusively through the portal.

Your Data, Protected

We take our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 and the ATO's client data security standards seriously. The portal is hosted on Australian servers and complies with all relevant data sovereignty requirements. Your documents are never shared with third parties without your consent.
